All right fellow screamers.  There have been a ton of updates and new additions at Screams of Terror Magazine!  A ton of new stories and poems have been added, like "Seems Fair to Me" by Andy Echevarria and a ton of new poems and stories from Theresa C. Newbill like "Encased In Purity", "Tainted Rose" and "The Death Farmer "!  You can also read "Stumblers" from Travis James Leland and "Billy" by Nick Medina.  We also have a ton of new stories from Brodie Michale like, "The Wicked Land of Amelia Skulling ", "When Darkness Takes Over ", "The Gilmore House Curse" and "The Safest Place".  You can read these and tons of other stories at the Screams of Terror Magazine Stories & Poems Section.

WOW!

We have also added a live chat area for you to hang out in and I am considering deleting the Horror Forum section since it hasnt been touched by anyone.  I may also pull the blog function since it too does not seem to be a big hit.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, please leave comments on the authors stories and on the Scream Queens.  At the very least click on the stars and give them an idea of what you thought of their hard work.  Your opinions are very important to our authors and other contributors such as artists and models.  When you finish reading or looking at their works, just take a second to let them know what you think, or even just a quick thank you to let them know that you appreciate their efforts.

Make sure to read the interview with E.J. Wells and give his music video "Hearse Driver" a look.  You can find it in the interview and in the Horror Movies/Videos section of the Zine.  Did you even know that we had a movie section?  You can find all kinds of feature length movies, claymations and music videos there.  Go check it out at the Screams of Terror Magazine Video Section.

If you have submitted a book, CD or DVD for review and are still waiting to see it posted, thank you for your patience.  I haven't forgotten about you.  I am setting up a new review section of the site to make life easier and sadly, setting up that section has not been very easy!  I will get your reviews up as soon as I can, hang in there!

You may have noticed that there is a new section called the Horror Store, and in this section you may have noticed that tons of cool stuff that you can purchase is starting to appear.  You may have also noticed that it has been in offline mode or maintenance mode since it appeared!  The Horror store is indeed coming, but there are some issues with the software that I am still working out.  I will make an announcement as soon as it is up and running.

As always, we are looking for submissions.  If you are a writer, artist, model or have anything to do with horror, we are looking for you!  We look forward to your stories and poems of horror.  Your art work.  Or your photos!  Scream Queens, remember that you dont have to be a famous actress or super model to be a Screams of Terror Scream Queen.  We want ladies that are into horror and have a horror theme to thier photos, so send away!  You can send any and all submissions to: submissions(at)screamsofterrormagazine.com  You can also send any review requests to this address and I will contact you with further info on how to get your materials to us.

Are you a reviewer?  An interviewer?  Illustrator?  Do you write horror related articles?  Do you have a horror comic strip?  We are looking for you to help out and become part of the team.  Everything currently is on a voluntary basis, but we will make sure that you get some exposure.  And we don't mind being a stepping stone for you at all!  And, perhaps one day we will even go into print and payment will become a reality.

Authors, I am currently considering creating a Screams of Terror Anthology.  I will contact you with details as soon as I know where I want to head with it.  In the meantime, any up and coming illustrators that would like some exposure, please feel free to browse our extensive collection of stories and poems and submit any and all illustrations that you wish to do for them.  I will get your illustrations posted online in the stories and of course, if an Anthology happens, we'll get you in that too!

Well, thats it for now fellow Screamers, I hope that I did not bore you to death with such a long posting, but there was a ton of info to post.  Until next time, keep those submissions coming, and,
Happy Screams,
Barry

Hi fellow Screamers!  Welcome to Screams of Terror Magazine online.  I hope that you like what you see and see what you like.  I am constantly changing and arranging the site to try to make this the best Horror Genre Magazine on the web for you.

Screams of Terror has been around in one form or another for a very long time, but it's current incarnation is rather new.  I started the magazine, in paper form no less, back in the late 80's.  Every three months I would put together a few sheets of paper with stories from myself and other local writers and I would drop off stacks at local book stores for free.  Right about the time that I was really thinking of going to a magazine format and getting serious about this stuff, I discovered the BBS!  I got a 386 computer, with a hard drive that had a few megs on it, a copy of Wildcat BBS software and a dedicated phone line and I set up Screams of Terror electronically!   I had delved into the future and efficiently destroyed any thoughts of going to a hard copy magazine.  Eventually the internet was born, and of course Screams moved onto the web.  It started out with a GeoCities account, and, since myself and my best friend were both computer techs on the cutting edge of a new computer revolution, Screams eventually moved to it's permanent home, here, on our own server.

Why do I tell you this?  Why should you care?  It's not important, but to many of our regular readers it might be nice to know, that’s all.  Screams of Terror currently gets thousands upon thousands of hits a day, a long way from the 200 printed copies I would make every quarter back in the 80's!  Our guidelines for submission for writing, art and photography are some of the easiest in the industry so as not to stifle your creative flow.  And I try to keep things fresh, yet not too predictable.  Will thier be regular words of wisdom from me in the Editors section?  I doubt it, but I will spew forth now and again, and of course I will answer any letters to the editor here too!
