Ghastly Greetings, one and all!

     My name is John and I'm a life time horror fan and author.  My writing style is short, simple and to the point.  If you enjoy horror along the lines of Tales From the Crypt and Creepshow, you might like my fiction.  On the other hand, if you prefer horror that is part sci fi, 'abstract' or highly sophisticated, my writings probably won't be your cup of tea.

www.myspace.com/ghastlyyarns   I guess you could say I am 'old fashioned' when it comes to my approach.  Vampires, ghouls, vengeful ghosts, werewolves, killer cars and murdering spouses are 'in.'  'Romantic' vampires, filfth dimension pseudo science or long winded plots......not so much. 

     One aspect of horror fiction that is VERY important to me is the inclusion of a 'host' to 'tell' the story.  I grew up reading the DC comics such as House of Mystery, House of Secrets and Witching Hour and all of them included hosts/hostesses such as Cain, Abel and the 3 witch sisters Cynthia, Mordred and Mildred.  Somehow, a short horror tale (illustrated or text) just doesn't seem complete without the involvement of a host/hostess! :) 

     Personally, I'm a life long resident of the Detroit area.  I'm 41, single and childless, in good shape, work full time in a clerical position and have travelled to 13 different countries.  Heavy metal is my music of choice and I enjoy weekend outings with friends in my area.
